Volunteer Advocates

FSDC is seeking volunteers to provide on-call hospital advocacy for victims of sexual violence. Some experience working with victims in a hospital setting is required.  Volunteers will be on-call to respond to requests for advocacy at least 2 days per month with a 6-month to 1-year committment. Training and support from supervisors will be provided.

Undergraduate-Level Intern: Summer 2016

FSDC is currently accepting intern applicants for Summer 2016. Our Interns are Associate-level or Bachelors-level students who are studying human services or are interested in applying their skills in a nonprofit mental health setting. They provide professional services and support our programs under the supervision of our staff in a variety of ways:

  • Direct services for children and families
  • Support the shelter and crisis line
  • Event planning and fundraiser support
  • Administrative support
  • Marketing and social media
  • Community outreach and presentations
