The Hattie Lee Burgess Home provides a safe, temporary residence for women who are actively fleeing domestic violence and/or sexual assault and their children. The shelter provides victims with immediate and continual access to our crisis support, advocacy, and counseling services.

The Hattie Lee Burgess Home is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Hattie Lee Burgess Home Needs

  • Used cellular telephones
  • Non-perishable food items
  • Basic hygiene and toiletry items such as soap, toothpaste, etc.
  • Basic cleaning products
  • Paper products such as diapers, wipes, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.
  • Linens for twin beds
  • Towels, washcloths, dish towels, etc.
